My interest in radiology began during my third year clerkships as I was able to work with a diagnostic radiologist during my internal medicine rotation. I was impressed by his ability to quickly and efficiently uncover several subtleties to provide an accurate interpretation of the film. He was able to integrate both the medical history and diagnostic discoveries to come to a logical differential diagnosis. His reasoning and input were absolutely critical to the course of treatment. Furthermore, I hope to find a program where camaraderie exists among mentors and colleagues. I am looking for a program that encourages creativity and begs for us to push the boundaries of medicine. I want a program that creates an environment where I can inspire and likewise be inspired by others. I have a passion for not only learning, but for teaching. I hope that I might be able to foster that passion during my training and one day be able to instruct the next generation of physicians. It’s an exciting time in medicine as research and technology continually expands those boundaries and revolutionizes medicine.
