Not just anyone can walk off the street and say, you know what today I want to do radiologic technology. First thing I want to say is most people are scared off because of the schooling. Second most people can’t stand the sight of blood. I was talking to my optometrist she said her son wanted to go to school for RT, but when she said you’re ok with the sight of seeing the broken bones sticking out and blood he decided to change to business. If you would like to get a job in RT you will need to take 2 years of classes that will vary all form the basic core classes of; English, Math, Speech etc. Those take about a year depending on how many classes you take a day. Well first we will get there about 9 am. The first thing that we would first do is to test the equipment. Since we work hand and hand with the nurses we will help transport them from their room to where we are taking the image of them at, and move them back. We have to make sure that it is all in good working order. After that we would make get our patient a gown. And take the image we make sure that the image is good for the doctor, if not we would have to reposition them and take another x-ray.
