Step 3: MRI Technologist An MRI Technologist operate the gigantic tube-like machines that capture MRI scans to reveal to doctors tumors, strokes and other complications a patient may have. The typical education for an MRI Technologist is to earn an associate's degree that is approved by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.
