Organizational Over view
Started in 2008, Homeboyz radio station was formed as an outfit to promote the organization’s other activities. Homeboyz the brand looks to provide the entertainment industry equipment necessary for events production. It’s a private media entity owned by four stakeholders Myke Rabar, Alph Rabar, and Rose Rabar with a work base of 90 employees organized into five divisions. DJ agency, DJ academy, Radio, TV and a Record label.
The three brothers sit on the management teams of all the divisions. They have also have other brands Aktivate, and Soundtraxx that also focus on the events outfit of the organization. The three brothers pay themselves modest salary and no dividends as the extra monies are

Accessible on the frequency 103.5 or online on www.hbr.co.ke/listenlive, it boasts of a wide listenership by the youth market that listens to today’s Hip-hop music and providing up to date news. They also provide seamless online streaming, a first of its kind service, with no hiccups or interruptions. This aids them cater for their office listeners in Nairobi and its environs plus their diaspora listeners.
Project Description
With their constant growth and an interest diversifying to producing T.V content, there was need for a large operating base hence they made a decision to move their offices from Baricho road to Galana plaza, Kilimani area in Nairobi. The project was to move and secure IT infrastructure successfully from their initial offices, and set them up in time and ensure that the Radio station doesn’t go off –air as this would cost the organization a fortune.

The reason for choosing this project was its transition process. This includes, I.T assembly, setting up the infrastructure in the new offices and installation. The new I.T infrastructure would include

Without human resource, this firm would not execute its daily roles, broadcast and entertainment. The management also learnt how to relate to their staff. Currently, they hold communication meetings with their departmental champions and relay any changes and information then let the champions communicate with the rest of the team. When done, they follow up the same with emails to all staff, and they do creative posters that run as screen savers. The management has also adopted an open door policy, where all employees can directly speak to management in case of any challenges within the organization. This has led to improvement of the relationship between management and its staff. It’s also saved the organizations a lot of money in regards to averting a risk of employee
