Lee de Forest, also known as ‘Father of Radio Broadcasting’ and some of his peers were one of the first people to send a public radio broadcast, the broadcast was sent from the Eiffel Tower. The radio is the single best invention out of all the inventions our class discussed. Firstly, the radio gave us communication for when satisfactory moment happen or when dissatisfactory events happens. The radio saved countless lives when people were in life threatening situations. Secondly, the radio started the growth of the whole field of electronics. The radio led to the development of the modern day smartphones. The radio allowed for the technology to make other electronics better and smaller in size. "Transistors allowed the miniaturization of these forms, so they could really become personal devices. This goes through to later devices like MP3 players, phones and other really small devices that we carry today. These developments in radio technology really made all that possible." If the radio’s technology was never invented the modern day smartphone most likely would not exist. No other invention offered this much, from the modern times, that delivered a whole bunch, but did not mention it was extremely revolutionary. The “Maxwell's equation” invented by James Clerk Maxwell was another extraordinary invention that would not be possible without the Radio.The “Maxwell equation” which enlightens about the basic laws of electricity and magnetism.
