The irony in all of this, is that people are fighting for something that is not even the most life threatening situation. Although cops killing innocent people IS an issue, in 2015, there were almost 6,000 blacks killed by other blacks. In contrast, only 258 blacks were killed by police gunfire that same year. (Bandler 4) By not even realizing the true concern, people of color are killing each other instead. With the media focusing on one topic that concerns others, people get angry and want to change what is happening. But, the reality is, people lost sight of what is right and need to follow what Martin Luther King Jr. said, “We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.” (King) Adding to this, the media has created diversity between people and is not focusing on the real issues. Furthermore, people of color should disregard the majority of media reports and focus on loving each other and growing a bond that can 't be broken, just like how it used to be. However, killing each other is not the answer, and fixing that first would resolve many problems. Then, standing together as one unit to fight the rest of the concerns would be easier, considering everyone would be on the same page. Ultimately, the brainwashing of the media is tearing people apart, and what needs to be focused on first should be advocated more to the people of this
