Racism In The United States: A Case Study

For several decades now in the United States, racism has been a huge problem in our country. Typically, African Americans have been the bigger part of racism. However there are other races that are included as well. “In a new nationwide poll conducted by CNN and Kaiser Family Foundation, roughly half Americans -- 49% -- say racism is a “big problem” in society today” (Sholchet para. 5). The color of our skin does not and should not determine what our future looks like, and we should take a stand and put a stop to discrimination in the United States. Fig. 1. DesignBump. We might be upset when they see this image because we will realize how big of a problem racism is in today’s society. Or, some people might get offended by the image because they might think that racism is not a problem in America, and they don’t think that this image is true. Also, there are racists in America, and these racists might get mad at this image saying that this image is true and the color of our skin does determine the type of future that we have. Aforementioned, when people say that the color of our skin determines what our future looks like, that tells us that racism is a problem in the United States. This brings up logos, and shows us that we do need to do something about the racism in the United States, and try and put an end to it. The racists in America will make us realize that we need to make laws on anti-racism. There needs to be laws such as not being able to not give someone a job because you don’t like the color of their skin, or not providing services to some people because the color of their skin is …show more content…
One reason being that children shouldn’t be dressed like that because they’re babies and they don’t know any better. Another reason being is that the color of our skin isn’t going to determine what our future holds for us. We as Americans are all equal no matter the color of our skin. With that being said, we need to come together and put an end to racism. We need to realize that we are all equal. Also, we need to realize how big of a problem racism is in the United States. Some may think that it is not a big problem, but others believe that it is a big problem. As aforementioned, there are more African Americans who think that racism is a problem in the United States, compared to the whites.
