Show us there is always hope. T.J.’s dad after years of suffering because of his horrible accident involving the death of an infant felt that he was finally redeemed by saving Heidi. Evidence 3b: Mike showed up at the funeral crying because his girlfriend left him, he saw his dad kill a good person, and he saw how his dad’s behavior and temper landed him in prison. Knowing he was a mini version of rich this worried Mike and gave him the wake-up call he desperately needed, that if he didn’t want the same pathetic life, his dad lived, he would have to change his ways and become a better more productive member of society. Mike actually apologized to T.J. at his dad’s funeral. Heidi despite the years of abuse and mental torture from her father rich marshal turned her life around. The first sign in the book that Heidi was going to be alright is when she spills her french fries and begins to cry, everyone else in the family spills them and laughs and eats them anyway. French fries are a simple thing that will now always bring Heidi joy.

It includes imagery of fantasy, different views of self-image, and the heavy burden that beauty can be and the detrimental ways we look at and treat women. It can be dreadfully tense and there is this feeling of anxiety that runs throughout the novel. The book is romantic when it needed, empowering where it counts, and is simply beautiful in its telling.…
