The Recession made it very hard on the people since they were already struggling on a poverty level. In a study done by economist Edward Wolff in 1955 he stated that the white household earned 61,000 dollars compared to the African household which only earned 7,400 dollars. Education is another prime example of racism since black students are suspended three times more than Caucasian students. In public schools minority students are given less access to well experienced teachers compared to Caucasians.
