The United States is a multicultural country, regardless if people like it or not. Almost all races and cultures are represented in America. The articles, “White Privilege: Unpacking the Invisible Knapsack” and “Some Notes for Facilitators” written by Peggy McIntosh, expresses how good whites really have it. Even though it is 2015, America is still experiencing racism, on a daily basis; between videos being put up on social media websites, or you see first hand in your city. From the people that were born back then and now, the two different generations of people are making it harder and harder to get rid of racism all together. No matter how many laws we make to protect the citizens of different races, they are still going to be broken by the people that feel that whites are dominant. To understand this issue we should try to find the causes and then think of an appropriate ways to reduce them.

Whether it be their teachers, their parents, or friends the opinions of these distinct groups of people puts diverse statements into their heads. They could be getting taught one thing in school by their teacher and then go home to something completely different. Racism applies big time here. The teacher could teach them to not hate people because of what color they are and then go home a few hours later to a racist environment. At that point, the mindset of that child is now all messed up. It’s a shame we all can't love people for what their personality is like and not what color they are. The truth is, racism can go two ways. But, most don't expect anything to be done, because no one can control another human beings actions no matter what because that's just basic nature to humans. It’s a shame that this is how the world is, and we have to still worry about this issue would but, it has to be done; we have to end
