Racism is not a good thing unless you want to be just like Donald Trump who hates everyone who isn’t his race. I picked the short film “Video” by Randy Yang. This short film is about this white lady “arguing” with an African American homeless man while 2 African Americans were walking home from school. The homeless was selling books for money. The lady told him to stop living off of Obama Care and get a real job like a normal person. But the real question is what is normal? The two teenagers start to record them talking since they both noticed what happen. When they mentioned that they were recording the lady said that he harassed her while they were gone. In the short film, she assumed that the African American is living off of Obama Care but in reality, he actually lived in a nice neighborhood but just recently got fired and evicted. Being racist isn’t right. If your a Mexican they would assume that you’re an immigrant who came to the United States just to steal jobs and have kids here. If you're an African American they would say that you’re trouble or a criminal. When someone is “white” they will think that you’re a white privileged spoiled kid who grew into a family with a lot of money and didn’t have to work for it because of their family members. Wherever you go people will silently judge you. Harassment is aggressive pressure or intimidation toward someone. In the film, he did not harass her he was polite and not loud. When being harassed at it is a nasty thing like for example sometimes people get pressured to do things like peer pressure. In the film the white lady initiates that he “harassed her” by talking calmly when she was the one raising her voice at him. In conclusion, I believe that this film shows the main stereotype of white males and females that most people have about them. The film showed a wealthy lawyer who can give 2 teens $500 each to two teens to not post the video. Anyone who is in the middle class will accept the money because we are running
