Race has been a big problem for around forever now and I think we need to put our differences aside and be happy with one another! I think racism has definitely changed since the 1930’s. In the 1900’s colored people and whites couldn’t even use the same restrooms, water fountains or sit in the front of the bus! I think it's safe to say colored people back then weren't treated fair.
First off I think race has changed in a very big way since the 1930’s. Colored people are now friends with whites and no longer have to use different restrooms and restaurants. Business owners and people who were offering job opportunities were white. As a result colored people had a very hard time finding jobs and making money. As a result it’s very different now for colored people they now own businesses, are able to have jobs, and can go to the same places whites go to.
In the mid 1900’s laws began to be created protecting the rights of colored people. For example they were able to go to public places in the 1950’s, they were able to vote, and they could go to the same schools. Organizations have been formed to help people who feel like they have been discriminated or been miss treated by the opposite color. They will make people feel more welcomed and safe. Therefore the amount of discrimination being dealt to people of color or opposite race.
As a result racism has changed due to laws and people changing. Colored people now have great jobs, own businesses and have the freedom to do anything. Organizations have been created to deal with the little racism we deal with today. Colored people get along with whites now and they work together now!
