According to Jennifer Jee-Lyn and Mienah Zulfacar the difference between race and racism in public health research advocacy is that one is measurable and the other is not because it’s considered to have nothing to do with health factors. For many years now race has become a huge component in health, people of color are typically seen more with diabetes, heart disease, and much more but no one looks at the real reason why, racism.
