Lopez argues that, 'dog-whistle' racial politics contributed to increasing inequality in America since the 1960s. He bases his arguments on actual happenings such as the use of teleprompter by the former US president Barack Obama to address the few in the black community that doubted his abilities and intelligence as a president.
