Recent reports showed how racism of the Canadian government could be a factor of the plight of the Innu People. There are three possible reasons to why there is still racism and they are because of economic and social insecurity, the “Other”, and intrinsic human nature. Economic and social insecurity can lead to racism because it makes people hate foreigners, it makes the immigrants feel insecure, and the immigrants are treated as outsiders. The “Other” marks foreigners as a danger, a threat, and it creates apprehension and distrust amongst the people. Many of these victims could be immigrants. Because of these narrow minded idiots they call bullies there will still be racism in the country not only that but the world too. These thick headed people don’t take the time to think who those people are. They just become racial stereotypes and expect people from that race to be this and that, but no that’s not the case here. They determine who the person by what they look like. They determine who the person by what they look like. Not only that but we have a strong stubbornness against change. Racism is something that has been studied for many years, however we don’t truly know why it happens or where it comes from. There are many theories of racism that give different ideas of where it has come from. In her book, Towards the Elimination of Racism (Katz. 2013.), Phyllis Katz describes how there are several major categories of racism. Katz splits the major categories into two separate parts, the first being “victim-system control” and the second being “degree of embeddedness”. As we focus on her theory of “victim-system” control, Katz describes it as, “the extent to which a theory locates the root or cause of racial injustice: as within the environmental control of its primary victims or within the larger social structure.”…

We allow discrimination to color a picture of embodied inequality among healthcare measures. Just as the anthropological definition of culture defines cultures as static entities defined by geographic boundaries, we cannot perceive race as a biological marker of genetic variation because it to is complex and static. Human biology, no matter what geographic location one hails from, is…
