In particular, Roanoke Rapids City Schools. Their school district is carved around the white neighborhood, so blacks will not be apart of their school district. An example from this would be how blacks that live right down the road from the schools aren’t allowed to attend the schools. If a child lives right down the road from a certain school they should be able to attend that school, and not have to travel across town to go to another school. Roanoke Rapids schools are also a lot bigger than the other ones that are in other counties. This is because when it comes to funding the counties that are close to roanoke rapids rarely get any because all those schools rarely consist of any white students. Police brutality is when an police officer uses excessive or unnecessary force with people. When police were first created than one incident where police have brutally beaten people sometimes for no clear or apparent they were created to protect and serve. As time has gone past, police have repeatedly used their power to do things other than protect and serve. For example in the 20th century there were more reason. African Americans are one particular race that seem to get the most attention from white officers. From the Civil Rights era of hoses, tear gas and dogs, to the iconic imagery of the late-Rodney King being beaten by officers, Black America has a special and urgent need to understand the pathology behind police brutality (Savali).
