Racism And Inequality In The United States

Racism and inequality means many different things to many different types of people because of the way it is viewed. Racism, is the discrimination against a person because of their skin color or a different characteristic than you. In today’s world a Caucasian girl can say “that black girl “and people consider it as racist or vice versa. The white girl could honestly mean no harm but everyone starts going crazy and blowing it out of proportion. The police crimes that are happening in America , is a social problem that people believe that its some type of prejudice behind it and came up with different sayings such as “black lives matter”. Both inequality and racism goes hand in hand in my eyes. When dealing with inequality it is basically unequal opportunity because of the social status of a person. I feel like with all these issues like poverty, inequality, and drug abuse, etc. it just opens up the door for a lot of stereotyping and its affecting the society and it causes the environment to suffer, which leads to the kids suffering. As far as society, I feel like how can we grow as a union if we keep judging others and not practice cultural relativism. In my eyes I feel like if we instill the right views in children while they are young it will turn into a generational thing and it can get passed down.
