Racism And Inequalities In America

Learning the lesson of racism and inequalities between different religions has shaped me to see the world differently. People are treated differently due to their race and skin color. For instance, the election of Trump. Many people had protested about Trump and his plans for immigrants and terrorist. His actions toward his goals were affecting my point of view of Trump’s plans. One of the many things that Trump was planning on doing was not allowing certain people from certain places and religions to enter the country due to certain concerns. People who didn’t know about this weren’t allowed back into the country until a period of time. This affected me a lot because it had happened to one of my father's close friend. Another event that happened was all the protests of allowing immigrants to stay in the United States and to stop deporting them. Since my family and I came originally from a different country I am “alien” to this country. My family also protested about this issue because we are also immigrants. People always say that your love could change at any moment, making it harder for me to keep focus during times when people talk about immigrants being deported. I always wonder whether I could be deported from this country after living here for almost six years. I also keep up with news channels and try to know the further plans Trump has in mind for immigrants. It has changed me emotionally and made me into a stronger person knowing that everything will turn out to be okay. It also changed my point of view, for instance, the college I want to attend or things I want to achieve in the United States rather than a different country.
