On the internet, people are able to explore racism in many different aspects. “The freedom of racist communication is becoming greatly enhanced through the use of the internet and other new technologies, and new, dangerous and rapidly changing forms of racist expressions are likely to emerge”(Law). Social media has portrayed existing stereotypes as well as introduced new stereotypes that have been altered in a negative transformation that help to encourage racism. Stereotypes are a shorthand way of way of generalizing a culture or race and over time the stereotypes have been blown out of proportion. Now with technology and social media playing a big role in influencing society and daily life, racism that is expressed could alter the view of differences in younger children.
