Racial Violence In Sports Essay

Will racial violence stop? Will it get worse? Racism is a major issue again in today’s society following the events of the Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, and South Carolina Church shootings. In my lifetime, I don’t recall any other racial violence cases before these three. In addition to, they all occurred while president Obama stood in office. Different factors are leading to racial concerns in sports, such as the low percentage rate of blacks that play in the MLB. However, this could lead to racial issues among different sports, for example, baseball players may form a conflict with NBA players. Blacks and whites need to get along before racial violence gets worst. Furthermore, we need to create ways to improve relationships between whites and blacks
Today, the reason racial violence is occurring is for the reason that our president is African-American. All three shootings occurred while president Obama stood in office. Whites dislike the fact that blacks are evolving and succeeding. African-Americans are attaining power and running for president, which whites dislike, therefore, they are taking their anger out on the blacks, especially whites in authority.
