Stereotypes are a huge part of our day today life. Stereotypes exist everywhere around us. Either in school, work, mall or anywhere for that matter we categorize people based on their race, age or accent. Stereotyping is putting a tag or a label on everyone we see without even knowing the least of information about them. Stereotyping also affiliate people into groups that they don’t necessarily belong to. Affiliating people into groups that they don’t belong to may hurt their feelings and cause them stress. The definition of a stereotype is a widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing. For instance, if you don’t work as a doctor or an engineer you are directly dumb. Because of the unorthodox grading and university requirements in Egypt, everyone automatically assumes that the grade required for becoming a doctor or an engineer was not achieved.
