The belief that one person is superior to another person just because they have certain physical features does not mean that one person has a supreme ranking in society. In the past, Nazis, such as Hitler, believed that the Aryan race (blonde hair and blue eyes) was set to rule the world just because lighter skin tones were viewed as superior. The truth is that there is no evidence to back up this claim. People that have this mentality, such as Hitler and other Nazis, are responsible for the suffering and deaths of over 6 million innocent Jews. There is absolutely no scientific evidence to support the fact that no race is better than the other. Throughout history, views on race have changed so much, that it is difficult to pinpoint which race could be “superior” to another. Only 0.1% of your external appearance is derived from your DNA (race). Your external appearance is not as significant as your internal appearance because without a functioning brain you wouldn't be able to have a life (Angier). People who have a mentality like Hitler, in which they think that if you don't look have blonde hair and blue eyes, you are considered a dissapointment. The previously stated makes no sense because people shouldn't be treated less than for not looking what is, in Hitler's eyes 'perfect'. The New York Times article conveys that race only defines your external features, and only a small portion of your internals. You won't be able to tell the race of a person by looking at an X-Ray. We are all the same on the inside, which is what really matters. What Nazi's that killed over 6 million jews don't understand is that we all are in the same situation in life. Not everyone feels the same about politics and how the government should run. I do believe that everyone should have their own opinion; however, people like Hitler should be able to have a government position. The unique part of Hitler is that many people believed he had good ideas, and he had very good public speaking skills. These traits were something that made people feel confident in their choice of electing him but the citizens of germany were misled by this alternate personality that Hitler displayed to the public (2) .The Nazis in germany definitely existed before Hitler, but Hitler knew exactly how to appeal to the general public.
