So, with the body cameras the public will see how stressful it is being face to face with people how can be violent, disrespectful, and any other negative action a civilian presents themselves towards officers. Also the public viewing the videos can bring out positive opinions on the public. These positives are the public respects and appreciated the hard work and exhausting tasks an officer goes through. Yes, there are people who are biased towards the police and a bad opinion can turn into a good opinion upon examining and seeing what the work of the police actually is. It may not be pretty, but certainly it can be influence someone who wants to become a police officer and wants to watch what they go through.
For the strategy of body cameras, it certainly is going to cost a great amount of money to use on every officer in the Antelope Valley. Which is why it being the responsibility of each officer to buy their own body cameras.
