One of the greatest foundations of racial issues in my opinion is Racial Profiling. Racial profiling is the act of suspecting or targeting a person of a certain race based on a stereotype about their race. In main words, it’s just basically stereotyping. Racial profiling seems to be big in law enforcement. A good example of racial profiling by the police is when A Hispanic driver is stopped in a "white" neighborhood because he "doesn’t belong there" or "looks to be out of place and/or a group of black teenagers are pulled over because of the kind of car they are driving. Some people were just born into a household of hatred and/or racism. It was taught to tell by their parents and it was taught to them by their grandparents and so on and so on. I mean think about back in the day it was totally “Taboo” for a black woman to shop in the same grocery store as any white people at all. Everything was segregated. Then when the change came for all to be treated equal, some did not like it and just continued to hate. Then they raise their family to do the same. So that’s how we got to racial being in this current day. It is up to us to break the cycle in our family. I broke it in mine. My dad has a lot of hate in him with white people. He would always tolerate and be nice to others but when we got home or off to ourselves he would tell me things such as “White people are so hateful”, and “White people will kill you”. He hated the fact that I had white friends and loved country music. I never understood why until I got older, I realized what he was raised in and how his parents probably passed on some of the hate. I refused to pass it on to my kids; they will not be taught to be racist or taught to hate someone because of the color of their skin. I just can’t do it and will not allow in my household. When my kids go and see their paw-paw, I monitor it because he still says things that should not be said to anyone especially
