Police brutality goes hand in hand with racial profiling in the year of 2016 as many cases are publicized. Racial profiling has built tension between communities and law enforcers. By the year of 2016 up to 1,000 people will be murdered by police according to the Guardian. Numbers increase in many cases where those with a racial preference will grab or reach for their ids which has led them to near death situations or death itself. Imagine you another race reaching for something you were asked for being a threat to your life.
America was believed to enter a post racial era. At these times this Era is false, lots of communities deal with racial profiling or discrimination. Communities who aren’t white dealt with these issues through an inevitable set of experiences all the way back to the 60’s. Black lives matter group fight to protect their own with all these cases listed and evidence continuing to grow these communities have felt targeted. Blacks fear being pulled over by cops.
