Instead, we should examine what causes people to act a certain way by building programs that addresses issues such as mental/physical health, problems in low-income communities, environmental racism, and etc. There should also be more research on how people in the past (before prisons) dealt with criminal issues. In this way, racialization of prison can be eliminated through fair treatment of all people. Eliminating and examining prisons are one of the many ways that we can see racial justice play
