Have you ever experienced racial discrimination? Racial discrimination is still a compelling social issue today. Growing up, I was made aware of the wrongful acts committed against African Americans. Originating from a biracial family, my family experienced more racially motivated actions than you could ever imagine. I even remember tears falling from eyes while my grandmother told me that several crosses were burned in her yard. I never would have thought that more than forty years later I would experience racial discrimination. One Thursday morning, my mother and I went to visit my uncle in Alabama. I was very excited to visit him and I was ready to experience the state of Alabama for the first time.
