Another attitude is that they fear being demoralized or being intimidated by their employers, and even being used wrongly. Some of the enlightened African Americans have self-motivation despite the social norms that are constructed on a racial basis. Such African Americans often ignore these norms and go ahead to look for employment opportunities at any place they believe is okay for them. Although race discrimination has lowered the African American self-esteem, they still have the morale to look for job opportunities so that they can raise their living standards that eventually leads to a good life.
