The purpose of this paper is to research whether ethnic minorities were clustered in particular level of jobs as well as the composition of the management for racial and ethnic minorities in hotel industry so that HR manager could realize the situation and take steps to improve the representation of ethnic minorities in lodging industry. According to the article, ethnic minorities could achieve managerial position in hotel, however, they cannot achieve the important role with key financial responsibilities in the management. With the analysis of data of 522 General Managers identified from 5549 hotel managers, this paper explicitly discusses the practice of inclusionary closure and its rewards and outcomes to assess if racial and ethnic minorities are clustered in department that do not lead to General Manager. 2.
