Allison Baden Clay was murdered by her husband Gerald Baden Clay on the 19th of April 2012. Her husband tried to play innocent and worried about her disappearance, as he was the first to notify police. During her vanishing the media focused on Allison's duties as a mother as its stated that "please help us because there are three beautiful little girls wanting to see their mother as soon as possible" (abc) further reinforced by "Three young children now live their lives without their mother" (news.com).
The media further pushed that Allison was a "happy, intelligent, capable woman" until she met her husband where " She was constantly trying to improve herself and her appearance to measure up to the expectations of her husband."
