Rachael Nid A Character Analysis

How do I feel about character, leadership, and service? I feel that leadership and service are both parts of a good character. When you meet an individual that is an outstanding leader and services others you often deem them to be someone with good character.
I want to be a person of good character and to represent myself as a person that they can trust to get things done and get them done well. When people mention Rachael Nida, they should think of her as someone of good character. Character has been defined as a set of behavior traits that define what sort of person you are. Your moral or ethical qualities if you like – qualities of honesty, courage, integrity, trustworthiness, respectfulness, responsibility, caring and compassion. (karongraham-edutake)

I have had experience in the leadership of small teams, medium teams, and large teams. I have learned that leadership is not about you; it is about those under your leadership. Being a leader is definitely one of the hardest tasks I have undertaken. When I first began learning how to lead, one of my leaders told me to remember that the leadership that I showcased, the attitudes towards defeat and victory that I showed, would be the leadership and attitudes that those I was leading would show. In short, they would become ‘mini-me’s’. That really put it in perspective for me. I need to make sure that at all times, no matter how I`m feeling, I need to display positive leadership and attitude to my subordinates.
Service is a very important part of a good character. Service to yourself, your family, your friends, your community, your state, and your nation are all of the utmost importance. If no one was willing to serve anyone else then we would never get the things that need an extra push, someone to give the extra mile to, done. When you serve you must remember that it is not for your benefit, it`s for the benefit of others around you. I feel that service can never be emphasized too

When I am with the group, I help instruct and show these young students the correct way to do dance, colorguard, and performance. By teaching them, it has lead me to develop my own skills, like communication, leadership, and my own dance and colorguard skills. The standards that must be proven to be nominated by this prestigious society are an example of the hard work and dedication I have exemplified in school. While I have exhibited all three throughout my educational career, I feel that my service characteristic stands out above the rest.
