In the criminal justice system, 80-90% of drug related incarcerations are of black people. However, the system is skewed in favor of white people. Hannity and Terrell try to challenge the system of race discrimination by stating that there is no justification for the police officer to shoot Walter Scott while he is unarmed and running away. Scott is no threat to the officer, and regardless of race, should not have been shot. The police officer is assuming the worst from the black man and shoots him, which stems from the prejudice originating from the drug war. On the other hand, it fails to promote a challenge by having Peterson say that African Americans should not be so angry over the incident. By attempting to shift the focus of the shooting from the actual shooting to African Americans around the nation, Peterson fuels the discrimination by blaming African Americans for being angry that they have a stereotype associated with themselves. It does not address the fact that unarmed black men and women are being shot by police officers every year. Instead, it shames blacks for trying to protect themselves from any further collateral
