I never knew that race was not always the main classification for people. However, I did know that religion has always been the reasons for conflict between nations. To think, race is not genetic, but based off a precise few physical and cultural similarities for one group that differ from the others. The natives and the settlers had their differences when the English came to the new world, but there was not any racial profiling. Instead, they were profile based on cultural and language differences between them.
