These animals are cute and smart and might be in your backyard if you live near mountains but they can be very dangerous. Raccoons can grow up to be about 10-30 pounds throughout their life. They usually breed during spring and then they have their kits around late spring or early summer. Their lifespan can go up to 15 to 20 years before their death, but the ones that live in the wild can only live up to 3 years due to diseases, hunters, and traffic accidents. They live in the Deciduous forest which are mostly found in the east parts of north america.
