The Deciduous forest is mostly found in the eastern half of the united states, Canada, Europe, parts of Russia, China, and Japan. The average temperature of the Deciduous forest is 50 F. This forest has 14 inches of rain during the winter and over 18 inches of rain during the summer. They will mainly be found in their dens along river banks due to their food being in a river bank. The latitude range of the forest is anywhere from 24 north to 38 south. Their dens are made out off little pieces of wood or might even be inside of tree.

When they are in the wild they use their claws to get a hold of fish in the riverbanks, or they might even get eggs from a bird and or the baby birds. When they are in the city their diet is anything they can really find from a bird or something in a garbage can or maybe even roadkill sometimes. When the raccoon is in the cities it is automatically harder for them to survive or even have a healthy body. The raccoons in the forest usually live in a den close to a riverbank so they can use the bank as their food source.
