I was in JROTC for three years in high school, and I enjoyed the lifestyle, the teachings, and the recognition. I knew I wanted to continue the military way of life, without fully commissioning. Therefore, I joined ROTC and I hope to gain outstanding leadership skills, increased self confidence, and a possible career. ROTC to me was similar to taking the less taken path, and I wanted to be different than the common college student. It takes being mentally and physically strong to comply to the standards, regulations, and requirements of the ROTC program. I believe that I can take on the challenge, especially, with this program pushing me to be the absolute best I can be.
