As I watched a first grade teacher, I attempted to pay close attention to her class and how she taught them. The teacher succeeded to reach all of the positive classroom management skills and avoided several of the poor transitions. In most instances, the class moved smoothly from one project to the next. Transitioning from bigger activities like classroom time to PE went much better. When walking to the next activities, the teacher placed on of the more advanced and non-troublesome students in the back of the line, front of the line, and also next to the students that may act out. This way the students could teach each other how to walk in a strait, orderly line.
