First, the maturity level of many teens these days have grown so much. Usually adults doubt that teens have a good maturity level. “Everyone should know what they're in for before seeing a movie, but our institution-happy society is taking away everyone's rights by child-proofing the country”. Not everyone is immature and you can’t assume that everyone is. Most rated R movies are reverent to teen lives. There is no reason why teens should not get to see rated R movies that may be like there life.

Many states are now implementing higher age minimums for getting licensed, leaving legal teens without an I.D. Instead of them having to show an I.D , such as a driver's license, They should let teens use their school I.D or something to show that they could be old enough. They should let teens that are sophomores and up. Sophomores are usually 15 or 16 years old so they are mature enough to see rated R movies. The MPAA needs to let the movie makers rate the movies instead of having random parents rate them. It is a good idea to let parents pick but all parents are different. Some parents have different thoughts about some movies and what's good for their kids. They have different styles of parenting also. Most teens agree with letting at least 16 year olds into rated R movies. It would raise up the money movie theatres get and would have less problems with people sneaking into
