On Wednesday, April 16, 2016 C-1 and C-2 flagged down and Officer from the Metropolitan Police Department and reported that she set up a meeting on Offer Up at the listed location to sell a Silver iPhone 6s. C-1 stepped out of his vehicle to show to Christopher Taylor herein referred to as R-1 the phone. S-2 came from and unknown location and approached C-1 from behind and unknown object in his back. C-1 turned to seen what was happening, R-1 snatched the phone out of C-1 hand and fled on foot. C-1 was able to give chase until he felt it was unsafe and flagged down an Officer at 1736 Good Hope Road SE. S-2 fled in an unknown direction.

C-2 text R-1 to see where he was. R-1 asked the complainant to come to Ridge Pl SE. C-21 advised that she would not and R-1 had to come to Anacostia. After waiting for several minutes C-2 sees a person she believes to be R-1 walking down the street. A few minutes later R-1 approaches C-1’s vehicle on the passenger side and asked C-2 “are yall the ones selling the iPhone.” C-2 confirms that they are selling the iPhone and R-1 asked to see it. C-2 hands the iPhone to C-1 and he gets out of the vehicle to show R-1 the phone. C-1 was then approached from behind by S-2 who put an unknown object in his back. C-1 turned around to see what was happening and R-1 snatched the iPhone from the C-1’s hand. S-2 fled in an unknown direction and R-1 fled southbound on 16th ST SE towards Minnesota Ave SE. C-1 was able to give chase until R-1 came to a stop at 1535 U ST SE (King Convenience Store). R-1 was sitting with approximately 15 other males and C-1 felt that is was unsafe. C-2 took your affiant to the location of where robbery occurred and to the King convenience store where C-1 stopped chasing the suspect. During the canvass C-2 stated “That’s him in the Gold sunshades.”R-1 was standing on the side of 1717 S ST SE with several other males. Your affiant was able to keep eyes on C-1 until he went into the rear of 1717 S ST SE and was last seen.
Your affiant dropped C-2 off and went to 1535 U ST SE to view video surveillance. At approximately 1645hrs, your affiant was exiting the store and saw R-1 standing on the corner of 16th and U Street SE. Your affiant stopped R-1 and he identified himself as Chris Taylor date of birth 05/28/2000. Your affiant placed R-1 under arrest, a search incident to arrest revealed that R-1 was in possession of a cellular telephone (device) that R-1 identified as being his cellphone. Your affiant seized defendant Jackson’s White Samsung cellular telephone, Model:Galaxy Grand Prime, IMEI: 37575490696012727, Serial Number: R28GC10QKMN as
