This quote opens the setting of the novel. It indicates a forest and the geographical location of the story. This direct quote assures that this forest is filled with life and will live forever.

This quote takes out a cultural/religious idea. It takes about how the Orleanna has no life of her own because she married a husband who never loves her. This quote tells the other that you should have a life of your own and it should be the one you are happy with. It reminds her that she has is herself.

There is a smile used in this phrase about how memories comes and goes when you have nothing to do. This reflects on the character and how Orleanna tries to make the correct path forward. This tells the reader her personality.

Nathan is attempting to make everything believe in the words of God. However, nobody has domination over himself or herself. Only darkness moved across life on earth.
