In The Crucible which takes in 1692, is about the Salem Witch Trials. Abigail accuses innocent people of using Witchcraft. But everyone is scared of her and no one wants to go against her. Everyone is somehow believing everything she is saying. She pretty much ends up running everybody and thing in Salem. She is doing this to everybody she looks down on. They talk about the affair they had and the witchcraft in this town. Abigail – “Give me a word, John. A soft word” In this quote Abigail wants proctor to speak up about witch craft in court. She is doing this so she can get her way with who gets hung. She also says of John doesn’t do I then she will tell the court that he committed Adultery. Once again She gets another person to fall into her trap. She buried another person who can’t go against her. Hitler did the same thing just to a more extreme extent. Hitler made everyone follow his order and become a Nazi and if they didn’t follow the rules or directions they would be brutally beaten or killed. Either way no one could speak up against either of them because of the circumstances. Both of them have over used their own power again showing what happens if no one wants to over throw the top dog.
