Atticus’s face turned red and he responded with fear:
“Those trashy people, they wanted to hurt me indirectly. And they specifically planned to hurt my children…… They will pay for their crimes! I swear it by the gods that I will bring them back to justice!”
Atticus had an absolute shock after hearing this dreadful news, and he decided to bring up a case against Mrs. Dubose, and he claimed that justice will solve this matter. Atticus planned to pick up the witnesses and use them as an evidence against Mrs. Dubose. He and the two Starks stood in the courtroom waiting for the trial to begin. Atticus wanted Mrs. Dubose to stand up and to confess her crimes against this town. He blamed her for the failed kidnapping attempt on his children, along with the Ewells association. The judge demanded a further Investigation, cooperating with the police. Thus, they have questioned many neighbors who were in the previous grumpy tea party that was held in Mrs. Dubose’s house. Bob Ewell on the other hand, was questioned. Investigation results pointed that Mrs. Dubose is guilty along with the Ewells. They are encountering a massive punishment regarding their actions. Moreover, Atticus was satisfied that his children are going to be safe, and he thanked the Starks for their honesty, and he invited them for a lovely dinner, as well as having a momentous conversation with
