Which character in the novel does Kidd make you particularly admire, and for what reasons? Support your answer by close reference to the prose.

While I was reading this book called “The Secret Life of Bees”, written by Sue Monk Kidd, I noticed that most of the characters in this book were not that good and did really bad things during the story. Obviously, there were some characters in the story that were actually really good persons, and kind to people, and one of this characters is Neil. I really admire this particular character because it relates to the story of my Mom and Dad. The way he loved June and waited for her to accept his marriage was one of the things that I really admire from this character. He is kind to everyone and even helps out in the farm to be close to June. In my opinion, this was the best character in the story and it's really sad that he didn’t appear really often in the story. Something that I have learned from the pass of my short life, is that love is strong as death, and maybe even stronger than death. This particular character called Neil, knew perfectly what love is, and not many people know what love really is. Love is NOT just liking someone's beautiful face, Love is respecting, be patient, and staying with the person you want to spent the rest of your life with in the good moments and the difficult moments, no matter what. Love is NOT falling in love with the outside of a person, Love is falling in love with what's really inside. When you fall in love with someone it makes you feel that he/she makes you a better person, and if he/she is away from you, you will know that person will never cheat on you, because you have learn to trust on that person you actually love. That’s what love actually is, and Neil knew that perfectly. That’s why I really admire this

Much Ado About Nothing is predominantly classified as a romantic comedy, though its genre is quite apparent there are moments, however where the play takes a cynical turn and specific characters display cynicism, though not explicitly. The play exhibits selfish motives that prove my claim, where status play a large role in marriage, and honor (playing with status) can pressure even the strongest form of love to shatter in seconds, though despite the presence of cynicism, there is still, however, innocence and tenderness displayed by specific characters. Characters are seen displaying a more cynical Point of view on the topic of love multiple times throughout the play, a clear example of this clearly exhibited in 2.1. executed by Leonato.…

I also found myself annoyed by Neil, which I found interesting. Even though the story is somewhat told through him, Cather does not seem to try to make him any type of hero; in fact I feel she portrays him as somewhat foolish for trying to hold on the past, an Ideal way of life that will not stand up to progress. Mrs. Forrester basically tells Neil that his hanging onto the past way of life is a detriment to his future, that this is why Ivy Peters is going to be…

Some may say that a sunflower is simply a sunflower. Some may say that a black t-shirt worn by the boy in class is simply just a plain black t-shirt, yet there is so much more to these items than there seems. The sunflower can be the essence of life, representing longevity and the importance of happiness, and the black t-shirt can really represent the feeling of sorrow and being an outcast in the midst of a conformed society. With many items there is more to them than meets the eye; they have multiple meanings or interpretations to them. Throughout the book Life of Pi there is a multitude of items that can be interpreted for much more than what is simply written in the book.…

In life people seek what they believe they deserve, even when it comes to something like love. “We accept the love we think we deserve (Chbosky Perks)” said Bill, the wallflowers teacher. To a great extent do I respect this quote although at the same time find love completely glorified, when Bill said that we in essence crave love and therefore “we accept the love we think we deserve”. To Charlie it shows the choices that his friends have made when it comes to love, like Sam falling for the wrong guy or Patrick loving someone who loves him but will not admit, however it also reveals much of who he is to himself and the love he has for others. For me it does the same and shows the way I view love.…
