Unbroken is an intense, emotional book that is completely real. It takes place in the beginning of World War 2, a very hard time for everyone. The book takes you through Loui Zeppelin's whole life, starting when he was only a little boy to when he is 80 years old. No one can even imagine what Zeppelin had to go through, getting stuck in a boat for over a month, being imprisoned and tortured by the japanese and having to be a bombardier in a very unpredictable military plane. The book is written very well, was also liked by many people. Unbroken, was so good that is was made into a movie. For one, there was lots of scenes and characters that were in the book, and wasn’t in the movie. Like all movies that were based on books, they had to caught a lot of things from Unbroken. Unbroken is a huge book and is set over many years. Understandably. they couldn’t fit everything into the movie but it was still very disappointing not to see some of the very important scenes in the book. One of the scenes that I was very upset that they cut was when Loui goes to college. After high school, and before Loui went to the Olympics he attends the University of California, training for running and taking other classes. When he is at college he meets Kunichi James Sasaki, a Japanese spy that comes to his college, or course Loui didn’t no he was a spy at that time. Later, when Loui gets captured and imprisoned, he sees Sasaki and learns his true identity. In the movie they never show him
