This verse talks about having faith. The verse calls for believing that everything will turn out ok, if you trust God. Even though, Pi lacks a way to get help or a way out of the ocean, God is telling him to have faith. Pi can take comfort in the verse, because God is promising him that if he follows and believes in God, he will be taken care of and his problems will be solved. Pi can also take comfort in this verse, because it doesn’t require Pi to do anything physical. All he has to do is believe and have faith, something Pi can control, and he will be saved. Pi doesn’t need to understand what, why or how is happening to him, instead Pi justs needs to trust his faith and believe in God.
