“Brothers and sisters are as close as hands and feet.” Quote by Vietnamese Proverbs. My brother, Jacob, and I have not always been as close as we are now. As kids we played together everyday and always looked out for each other. Then there was a time when Jacob and I would not talk or anything. And when it does it’s one of the best things anyone could ask for. Considering this, my brother and my history goes way back. From the day he was born I knew I had a new best friend. We are three years apart in age but four years apart in school years. Being three years apart has had its up and downs. When I started school for the first time, i left my brother all alone during the day with no one to play with. When I started high …show more content…
Watching how my Mom and her sisters act around each other and how my Dad and his brother and sisters act towards each other always worried me. I wanted to close relationship with my brother and not the relationship my parents have with their siblings. Surprisingly, my brother and I have a close relationship. He has stood by my side through everything that I have gone through. Whenever I tore my ACL and I couldn’t walk well or go to school, my brother missed some days to stay home and help me get through it. He got my homework I missed and he would bring me food and would help me walk when I needed to get up. When I recovered and was able to play soccer again, he came to every game no matter what. When the high school team went to state, he missed school that day to come up and support me. I can always count on him coming to my games. And same for him. He made it to State for track and I drove up that morning to watch him run, just like every other track meet I watched of

I never had any brothers, but I remember that I always wanted an older or younger brother because as much as I love my older sister, it is not the same bond as one would have with a brother. I’ve had many friends who I refer to as brothers or “bro” but it’s become a word that’s easily thrown around at the simplest interactions. However, I see the relationship that the brothers of Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc. have and I can instantly tell that the word brother has meaning to it. They have history, bonds, and experiences that have solidified a brotherhood. I want to share that too.…
