Although quitting is not usually a good thing, sometimes it can not be helped. When I was a freshman in high school, I worked at a restaurant in Cape May, New Jersey. I enjoyed my job, but sometimes it conflicted with high school sport schedule. I knew that quitting would cause me to lose my spending money, however my high school activities were very important to me, since I knew I would only be in high school once. Quitting my job at Uncle Bills Pancake House was not my first choice in solving my problem. My problem with working at Uncle Bills Pancake House, was that I had to be at work every morning at 7:00 am and I played field hockey at my high school and team practice was from 7:00 am- 9:00am, every Monday and Wednesday. Quitting came with many down falls, but I did not regret it. …show more content…
When I was working, I was able to buy new clothes and whatever else I needed. I had the freedom of going out with friends to have fun, without having to ask my mother for money. My mother was not able to provide that kind of money all of the time. Eventually, I was able to accept the fact that my mother was not able to provide that money and I realized that, at that time, field hockey was more important than working. I was only going to be in high school once and I thought that I should enjoy that time because I will eventually have to work for the rest of my
