The leadership style of Quint Studer reminds me of a bulb, not because the Studer Group and Foundation carries his name has a bulb in the logo, on the contrary, it encourages to “be the bulb.” As described by Cokeley in (2012) an electric current flowed through a filament of carbonized thread and brought the world into light on New Year’s Eve 1879. He is a leader with a genuine style that sets him apart because he is willing to do the right thing simply because it is the right thing. Studer found himself willing to assist a crying woman who asked for help when he answered the phone in the absence of the nurse. Following detox, the lady credited Studer for saving her life, thanked him then embraced him. While Studer maintained that he did not believe that he saved her life, he did admit that he enjoyed the embrace and the feeling that comes from making a difference.
