The Quinoline and its derivatives quinine, chloroquine, amodiaquine, piperaquine, primaquinine and mefloquine are used for a variety of pharmacologically active synthetic and natural compounds. The quinoline are historically among the most important antimalarial drugs ever used. Quinoline family act during the blood stages of parasite’s life cycle but some like primaquine targets the tissue stages.
