Quincenera is a celebration which is usually celebrated in the South-American and Latin-American countries. It marks the occasion when the girl of the house reaches the age of fifteen or sixteen (usually fifteen). It is celebrated for the transition from childhood to womanhood. It is a very important tradition which is being followed for many years. It is celebrated in a huge manner with numerous people which includes family members, friends etc. The girl is the highlight in this event and she wears a beautiful dress. She is usually given away by her father wear she slips on a pair of high heels and is gifted a doll which symbolizes from childhood to adulthood.
