Quicksand: Movie Analysis

The movie and the book are very different because of the different mood it sets on the audience, the way the mystery was solved and how the characters acted.
The mood that the book sets is more of a mysterious mood rather than what the movie is a scary or on the edge of your seat mood. These different types of moods affect how people think of this story. The movie mystery was solved a differently and with a lot more death. In the movie, Mrs.Stapleton dies yet, in the book she doesn’t. In the movie the inspector gets stuck in quicksand and is helped out of Mr.Stapleton's trap. In the book the characters act more keenly than in the movie and also are more upfront. In conclusion the movie is a faster paced and has more death whereas the book

Maloney's killing, is another big element which distinguishes between the book and film. In the original book, it is clear to the reader that Mrs. Maloney will not be recognized as the murder, and it is almost amusing when the police accept her offer to eat the leg of lamb which was the weapon. The author builds minimal suspense. And yet, in the movie, the audience feels great suspense.…

It gave exquisite details on how each individual part happened and how each character responded. Supporting my thesis, the novel was more intriguing than the movie. Each event was described clearly, whereas in the film many were left out or unspoken of. I feel as if the movie focused on just the main parts of the story, but in the book every little obstacle was written out. Therefore, I have given various examples as to why the book was better than the film, along with the major similarities and differences of the…

Another thing about the book is it seemed like it could have happened to someone out in the world. When the characters were sad or happy it seemed as if it were real and they weren’t just characters in a book. However in the movie it seemed different, because it didn’t seem to be as real as the book…

One major aspect of the movie that differs from the book would have to be the color revelation. The color revolution was caused when an oval decided to color its inside red. This les to other shapes doing the same. This lead to more shapes following which led to mixed dyeing. With the civil authority did not like at all.…

When I read the book and the saw the film I noticed many similarities and many differences but I choose the one of each that I thought was cool. Like how in the film Kevin was hit with a basketball, later he was playing basketball with Max. This is a difference because in the book that never happened instead they went to the firework festival and got trapped in that pond of mud after being chased by the blade and his crew. They made this change from the film and the book because the director wanted to spice thing up a bit.…

Animal Farm Turning pages of a book or the quiet buzz of a movie? Both the same, yet different. The book and movie Animal Farm are based on the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917. The book is an allegory to the event, simplifying it and shortening it, but with the same meaning. The Bolsheviks led a revolution to overthrow the unfair imperial autocracy in Russia, run by Czar Nicholas II, and once doing that, turned it into a communist country.…

Ironically due to the storyline; the book is better than the movie, because it is shows better description, character analysis, and it gets the point across to the reader to show what leads up to the main idea. While, the movie it is more vague and fast paced so it's hard to comprehend the storyline. The book is more illustrative than the movie. For example, the…

It seems an unfair view to expect a movie about a book to be exactly the same down to every single detail. Communities of fans will always find something wrong with a story, for it has “failed” to match expectation. Books are a place where someone can be dragged into the story and forget about everything else for a short while. Movies do the exact same thing, except it is seen as an easier way than books for a lot of people. Ignoring obvious differences (such as the fact that one is in picture form, and the other is in words), movies and books may not be so different after all.…
